An in-depth evidence-based assessment designed to identify potential barriers to economic, educational and social participation and formulate goals with your job seeker to holistically address barriers to participation and increase engagement.
Vocational evaluation and assessment is an evidence-based assessment designed to assist people with disability identify employment/volunteer options and for people to determine new and appropriate career options following onset of illness or injury. Vocational assessments are typically ideally completed by RCs as they undertake tertiary training in this specialised area of assessment. Vocational Assessment involves review of medical and psychosocial information; education and experience; transferable skills; assessment of interest, aptitude, work preference and personality; assessment of jobsearch skills; labour market review and includes recommended strategies to support realisation of appropriate vocational goals.
Vocational counselling is an evidence-based counselling service typically ideally provided by RCs as they undertake tertiary training in this specialised area of counselling. Vocational counselling includes professional and personal counselling, that incorporates an additional focus on the theory and research of career development and the unique vocational needs of individuals with disabilities. The goal of vocational counselling is to assist and empower individuals with various disabilities to achieve their career goals in the most integrated setting possible.
Exclusively developed by Inclusion Rehab and Disability, this assessment is based on best practice jobsearch methods and substantial knowledge and understanding of deficits that can arise in the jobsearch process. This assessment involves a comprehensive review of an individual’s jobsearch tools, efforts and levels of jobsearch success to identify and address any gaps in their jobsearch process that may be negatively impacting on them securing employment.

An evidence-based program which involves weekly meetings with your client to review and monitor their jobsearch efforts, address any gaps and maintain high standards of job applications through maintenance of jobsearch resilience and motivation.
We undertake a situational assessment in true workplaces to assist an individual to make choices about the types of jobs and work environments they may enjoy. Also known as an environmental assessment, this robust evidence-based assessment helps the individual to obtain a more complete overall picture of a role and may reduce extended and ill-directed jobsearch efforts. Situational assessment is a form of career exploration considered highly suitable for people with disabilities.
An evidence-based assessment that involves an organised and intensive method of obtaining information about jobs. Job Analysis involves the gathering, evaluating, and recording of accurate, objective and complete information about a given position from a variety of sources. Job Analysis can be used for Job matching; Identification of suitable duties; Determining job modifications; Job redesign; Hazard identification; Maintenance of employment; Developing training programs; Locating occupational information; Job promotion; and as Employer support. Job Analysis is an effective tool to use in the career exploration process and may assist in responding to objections employers may have about hiring a person with disability.

Adjustment to Disability Counselling is used to assist an individual to adjust to disability or injury, using a range of evidence-based and robust counselling modalities such as solution focussed brief therapy and motivational interviewing. Solution focussed brief therapy’s application to counselling individuals with disability is particularly relevant as it is a therapeutic approach that draws on people’s resources to facilitate change.
